MTV and MoMac confirm their partnership with the launch of two mobile portals
London, October 25th 2010: MoMac, the European mobile web solutions provider and MTV, the world’s leading music television service, today announced an extension to their long standing partnership with the launch of mobile portals for their MVNO’s in Belgium and the Netherlands.
In addition to streaming music videos and selected content from their most popular TV shows, the portals will host “On Demand” videos, TV guides plus news and exclusive downloadable content.
The mobile portal covers:
- Access to streaming channels for Trax (music videos) and Snax (clips from MTV series)
- Access to one demand video for all popular MTV series such as The Hills and Jackass Now & Next on MTV
- TV Guide
- MTV News
- Links for social networking (Facebook, Twitter and Netlog)
- Downloadable content
- French and Dutch version, each with specific content
These mobile portals were built by the MoMac Services Team using GoPublish, the design and publishing module from the MoMac platform. GoPublish incorporates unique HTML5 features and advanced mobile Javascript plus the ability to adapt layout and page code “on the fly”. Thus ensuring the experience can be enjoyed by over 6000 handsets and is not just for those MTV customers with high-end smart phones.
“It has become easy to build a mobile site. But for companies such as MTV, who addresses thousands of mobile users, you need to constantly invest in R&D to keep your audience satisfied ” commented MoMac CMO Olivier Milcent “MoMac solves this problem and brings MTV with a complete platform for managing their content over 6000+ mobile devices”.
The end result is a fresh and efficient mobile site, combining the best of breed technology in a platform visible to all. See the result yourself on your mobile: http://m.mtv.be and http://m.mtvmobile.nl.
