MSN and Momac join forces to launch a cutting-edge mobile experience

MSN.nl, the Dutch destination for global digital giant MSN, and one of the leading internet destinations in the Netherlands, today announced the launch of their new mobile internet portal.

 
In response to rapidly increasing visits from mobile users across Holland, MSN decided to upgrade their mobile experience, with a state-of-the-art mobile website, that had to meet the following objectives:
 
  • Offer users a comprehensive range of content and functionality, including all of the existing MSN services, in addition to the most compelling news and entertainment
  • Present a rich intuitive user experience that struck a balance between simplicity, design and fast page display
  • Provide flexibility for MSN to rapidly change and update the portal ensuring the offering was always fresh and appealing
  • Finally, as a leading B2C services supplier, ensure optimized mobile rendering for 100% of their users handsets

MoMac was selected to work with MSN and the portal was launched on 28th September.
 
MoMac’s platform, nominated in the last 24 hours for Mobile Entertainment Awards in the “best mobile platform” category, was the perfect solution to achieve all of these goals.

The mobile portal was built by the MoMac Services Team using GoPublish, the design and publishing module from the MoMac platform. It incorporates unique HTML5 features and advanced mobile Javascript. But this is not an experience purely for Smartphones, the portal is visible to more than 6000 handsets as the layout and page code adapts “on the fly” to a wide range of device profiles.
 
GoPublish also brings huge marketing flexibility to the portal: the content and site organization can be changed within minutes by the MSN team and the whole experience can be enhanced by mini-sites or campaign sites quickly and easily.
 
The portal integrates with Bing, Hotmail and other Microsoft services and includes a full catalogue of mobile casual games, provided by BoosterMedia (www.boostermedia.com).
 
Finally, MoMac is providing full mobile ad-serving functionality through their GoSell technology, giving advertisers the opportunity to target MSN’s comprehensive user base.
