Social networks and e-mail
Social networks and e-mail are key drivers of mobile internet traffic. Many mobile users of social networks and e-mail use these services multiple times each day. Currently, many of them bypass the operator portal completely, navigating directly to the social network or e-mail provider. Momac are working directly with the leading companies in this field to create deep level integrations into mobile operator portals.
The mobile operator portal as the hub of the users mobile internet experience
By integrating a users social networks and e-mail accounts directly into the operator portal, we can transform the portal from a start page into a central hub of the users mobile internet experience. Momac's portal technologies allow users to configure single sign in to social networks and e-mail, actually pulling content from these services into the operator portal. This feature has been designed to help further position the operator portal as the 'home page of choice', and drives overall mobile data usage by promoting key data consumption services.
Wall messages and status updates from Facebook, tweet's from friends and e-mail alerts can be displayed directly on the operator portal. Further integrations are dure for release late summer 2010 will offer even deeper integrations into more social networks and e-mail service providers, with some allowing users to send/post messages directly from the operator portal.
Momac's work with social networks and e-mail is set to have a significant impact on the stickiness of operator portals.
