MoMac partners with "Mobile 2.0" event

Olivier Milcent, director of MoMac France will host an expert panel discussion at the "Mobile 2.0" event, held in Paris on March 9th 2010.
Experts from the media industry, including Le Monde, Mondadori, AFP and Lagardere Group, will be sharing their knowledge and experience gained in the field of mobile publishing.
As one of the main partners of "Mobile 2.0", MoMac will release a mobile web application dedicated to the 4th edition of this event.

MoMac releases MTV Mobile portal

MTV Mobile has launched a brand new mobile portal in cooperation with Hi. The portal offers a variety of exclusive content, targeting the growing mobile base of teenagers and young adults: www.mtvmobile.nl.
Apart from popular Video On Demand programs, MTV Mobile introduces non-stop streaming clips and shows (MTV Trax and Snax). In addition to MTV branded content, end-users are also provided with access to news (nu.nl), weather and traffic updates, as well as popular email- and social media platforms.

MoMac hosting centre green power qualified and ISO27001:2005 certified

MoMac's technology partner Intermax has been qualified as a greenpower data center by using 100% green power which is generated by bio mass, wind mills, sun energy and water turbines. The data centre is even sponsoring it's own windmill in a big wind mill parc in the Netherlands to attribute to an improved environment.

The Namibia Press Agency, (NAMPA), was established in 1991 as a national news agency responsible for the distribution of local, regional, and international news as well as picture services to the local and international media organisations, institutions and individuals.
Together with AFP and Momac's GoMedia platform, Nampa has released a mobile site optimized for all types of devices. This includes local news from NAMPA such as politics, education and law, business. The mobile site also includes international news provided from AFP.

Dutch mobile site 'The Beagle' on the trail of Darwin

In this Darwin Year, 200 years after Charles Darwin's birth, Dutch broadcaster VPRO initiated a nine month sailing trip around the world, following the trail for Darwin's ship "The Beagle". The ship, equipped with an on-board TV studio, will broadcast on Darwin's discoveries through Radio, TV and Internet.

Dutch Queen addresses the nation through iPhone

For the first time, the NOS (the Dutch Public Broadcasting organization for news and sports) has brought a live video-stream of the “Speech from the Throne” to mobile phones. Each year in September, the Dutch Queen addresses members of both Houses of Parliament to bring forward the government’s policies for the new parliamentary season. This speech and debates between members of Government and the Parliament in the following days, is broadcasted live for iPhone users through the NOS mobile website.

STER brings TV commercials to mobile

STER, the agency responsible for advertising on Dutch Public Broadcasting (TV, radio, web and mobile), has released a mobile website. The site is a mobile version of the "Gouden Loeki" competition. Each month, viewers can select their favourite TV commercial out of list of ten ads preselected by STER. After each month, winning commercials are included in the final election for "Best TV commercial of the year".

MoMac debuts My Football and Vodafone News in Vodafone App Store

MoMac has introduced two new apps for a beta version of the Vodafone app store: 'My Football' and 'Vodafone News'. The apps, commissioned by Vodafone, are the first to be created by MoMac for the beta phase of a Vodafone app store, which is currently available to customers with compatible handsets built on the S60 platform. MoMac will continue to add further apps to the beta app store over the coming months.

Dutch Public Broadcasting services chooses GoMedia

Recently, the Dutch Public Broadcasting services NPO (Nederlandse Publieke Omroep) has reached an agreement with MoMac for the use of the GoMedia platform. Under this agreement, all individual broadcasting organisations are allowed using GoMedia to support their TV programmes, radio shows, websites and other cross-media projects.

Tour de France live TV makes worldwide debut on iPhone OS 3.0

For the first time, live TV broadcasting of an international sports event has made it to the iPhone. Dutch Public Broadcasting company NOS brings live coverage of this year's Tour de France to the iPhone, powered by MoMac (www.momac.net) and Triple-IT (www.triple-it.nl). Following Apple's new firmware release, OS 3.0, it is now possible for iPhone users to watch video streaming on their handset.
